In the first round of "Shamkir Chess 2019" Super-tournament devoted to the Memorial of the late grandmaster Vugar Hashimov, our representative Shahriyar Mammadyarov and Alexander Grishuk, the Russian representative played a draw. The Press Service of the tournament reports that, the grandmasters have been shared their opinion about the battle in the press conference immediately after the game finished.

A. Grishuk noted that he is satisfied with the draw: "I was a bit tired. I am satisfied with the result. I think that I have not rested well in the tournament held in Astana. If there is more game, there should be more rest".

Having said the difficulty of understanding the young colleagues in the real life, the genius grandmaster emphasized that he understands them in the chess. He noted that playing with young colleagues is quite difficult as well".

S.Mammadyarov expressed that last time he played such a fast draw in the World Cup against Sergey Kariakin. He added that for him, the main part of game season will start in May: "Having many tournaments like this one is quite normal for me. This year will be the most productive and busy one for me. I plan to participate at almost 100 classic chess parts this year. Each game takes my energy in tournaments like Shamkir, therefore, I try to save my whole energy. If there is a suitable situation for the draw, I play a draw. It is quite understandable, there is nothing related to secrets".
